Factors Affecting Ischemic Stroke Short-Term Outcome According to Hemoglobin Level

چکیده
Background and aims There seems to be a U-shaped relation between hemoglobin level ischemic stroke severity. We aimed explore possible causes of this relation. Methods All patients with 2006 2016 admitted within 3 hours onset were included. Hemoglobin NIHSS score obtained on admission. Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) was day 7. Locally weighted scatterplot smoothing (lowess smoother) curves displaying the frequencies M1 occlusion complications according admission lowess smoother mRS 7 in without middle cerebral artery (M1) obtained. Results This study includes 905 patients. Low associated pneumonia urinary tract infection. Neurological worsening not level. Increasing strongly increasing high (correlation factor=.61, P=.02). Conclusions Poor outcome low is during hospital stay whereas poor levels artery.

Evaluation of plasma homocysteine level in ischemic stroke patients according to migraine history
Background: As yet migraine has been established as one of the risk factors for ischemic stroke. Some of the factors have been assessed for the explanation of this relation. Hyperhomocysteinemia is seen partly both in stroke and in migraine. This study was conducted to determine the mean plasma levels of homocysteine in ischemic stroke patients on the basis of migraine history. Methods: This cro...
متن کاملNeutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio Predicts Short-Term Functional Outcome in Acute Ischemic Stroke
Inflammatory cascade following acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is an important pathological process in damaged brain tissue [4, 5]. The inflammatory process in AIS involves cytokines and chemokines released from ischemic tissues, promoting the accumulation of leukocytes to the ischemic areas [5, 6]. Among circulating leukocytes, neutrophils have been regarded as crucial mediators of ischemic injury...

متن کاملPhosphodiesterase 4D polymorphisms associate with the short-term outcome in ischemic stroke
It has been demonstrated that phosphodiesterase 4D (PDE4D) genetic polymorphism is associated with ischemic stroke. However, the association between PDE4D gene and prognosis after ischemic stroke remains unknown. We consecutively enrolled ischemic stroke patients admitted to Beijing Tiantan Hospital from October 2009 to December 2013. Clinical, laboratory and imaging data upon admission were co...
